What your money funds:
This division conducts professional investigations for the NYPD. It investigates threats to public officials and police officers, as well as unlawful political activity. The division supports counter-terrorist and anti-narcotics efforts. In FY07, the unit investigated 713 gang motivated incidents and made 107,331 narcotics arrests. Additionally, staff from this unit provides security for the Mayor, the President when visiting and other visiting heads of state and dignitaries.
