What your money funds:

This funding goes toward contracted home care programs, which help low-income seniors continue to live in their own homes by assisting them in performing daily functions and maintaining personal care.

  1. Contracted services include: meal preparation, companionship, supervision of medications and doctor's visits, and housekeeping.
  2. The City pays the private and non-profit agencies $15.50 per hour of home care. According to DFTA, it provides about 1.6 million hours of home care per year to approximately 4,500 seniors.
