The Beacon Community Centers are contracted programs located in public schools throughout the City that provide after-school and community services to neighborhood residents. Each Beacon Community Center works with the host school and the community to engage parents, youth, school personnel, local merchants, law enforcement officials, and many other community advocates.

  1. There are 80 Beacon Community Centers located in public schools throughout New York City.
  2. Beacon Community Centers operate at a minimum of six days per week - 42 hours a week - during the afternoons, evenings, weekends, school holidays and summers.
