These funds go toward other youth programs that DYCD contracts with, which do not fall within the other major programs. Some examples include:
- NYC Ladders for Leaders: In 2008, 183 youth participated in the program and over 60 public, private and non-profit companies offered employment positions. According to DYCD, of the participants, 40% were black, 33% Asian, 15% Hispanic, and 12% Other.
- Youth Connect: A free and confidential information service focused on connecting youth to resources that include education services, training programs and employment opportunities.
- DYCD contracts with youth services providers for these programs.
