What your money funds:

This program is tasked to eliminate or fix hazardous conditions caused by lead paint. The funds primarily come from the federal government's grants for lead paint abatement.

  1. In FY08, HPD officials issued 29,500 lead paint violations, and residents reported a total of 43,000 complaints about lead.
  2. It costs an average of $2,431 to repair each lead emergency violation or complaint.
